About the club


The club currently meets on Wednesday 19:30-21.30 every week during the school term (excluding half term weeks) at Bothel Village Hall

Please just come along to meet us if you are interested, or even just to watch – no charge!

During the school summer holidays, the club usually meets elsewhere, contact us for further details.

The club is  a non-profit making organisation. All funds are channelled into developing the club and its equipment. We have two very experienced regular coaches, who have national experience.

Equipment is provided for all who require it. We have recently received a lottery grant which has allowed us to update all our equipment.

Welfare Officer

The club welfare officer is Alison Crosby. Members can approach Alison at club sessions in person, or contact her via email at herdwick.fencing@gmail.com

Membership fees


Beginners can have a 3-session taster for £15 before joining the club and paying the membership fee.


Annual club membership fee is £32, payable in September each year.

There is an additional cost of  £6 per session under 18, £7 for adults, for each session attended.

Family membership

 Annual family club membership fee is £70 for one adult and two children.

There is an additional cost of  £6 per session for one or two members under 18, £7 for the adult, for each session attended i.e. £13 per session for one adult and up to 2 children.

The subscription is required to pay for the fencing coaches, the equipment and the venue costs. The club is a non-profit making organisation.
